Bio

First off I'll tell you a little about myself.

  • At the age of 13 I started to play bass
  • At 15 I was playing professionally with a high school rock band by the name of Sandy Road, touring the Maritimes on the weekends, and back to school on Monday.
  • From Sandy Road I joined an original rock band by the name of Oakley where we recorded 2 albums, the first album was never released because of management problems but the second album simply called Oakley was released in 1978. The band toured Canada extensively until 1981 when I left the band to freelance.
  • From 1981 until 1990 I was a bassist for hire, within that time I was doing session work as well as television work at the CBC Halifax with Bob Quinn and playing with live acts from a to z in the Maritimes opening for acts such as the Doobie Brothers, Tower of Power, Delbert Mcclinton, Long John Baldry, Three Dog Night , and many others.
  • In 1990 I had the great privilege to join Rita MacNeil's group and have toured North America, Australia, and Europe with her.
  • In 1994 I did the Rita and Friends television show and became musical director on the 1995-1996 season. I am currently still touring with Rita as well as recording.
  • In 1999 I toured, recorded, and did television work with Roch Voisine and his band. I am still working with Roch when I am able.
